Here at Jacari, we are very excited to announce that Alex Raikes MBE, Director of Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI), will be coming to do a talk on the issues around hate crime for immigrant and BME communities in Bristol. SARI is an amazing Bristol-based charity that provides support for victims of any type of hate crime including racist, faith-based, disablist, homophobic, transphobic, age-based or gender-based.

In the current political climate it's more important than ever to understand and raise awareness of these issues and to stand up against racism and inequality.

Interested in combating this? Jacari is a student-led charity that matches up student volunteers at Bristol University with local children from disadvantaged and refugee backgrounds who don't speak English as their first language for one hour a week tutoring sessions. We're always looking for more volunteers to join us in fighting educational inequality.
