There is less than three months to go until the South West Fairtrade Awards so get your entries in!


The Awards are free to enter for all sizes of business in the South West region.

You can win a bronze, silver or gold level Award if your business meets the criteria, which will demonstrate to your customers that your business is fair and ethical.

All winners receive an e-logo to use on publicity material, a certificate to display and free tickets to the Awards ceremony.


There are 7 categories:

  1. Best Fairtrade Office
  2. Best Fairtrade Retailer –single product
  3. Best Fairtrade Retailer – multiple products
  4. Best Fairtrade Café or Restaurant
  5. Best Fairtrade Accommodation or Conference Centre
  6. Best Fairtrade University or College
  7. Best Fairtrade Advocate, sponsored by  SWTUC


The Best Fairtrade Business 2015, sponsored by Burges Salmon, will selected from the entries in the categories above.

All businesses that meet the criteria for bronze level and above will receive an Award which will be a great boost to your business, an advert to customers and a boost to staff.

In 2014 the South West Fairtrade Business Awards were presented by journalist and author, Lucy Siegle. The event was attended by 160 business leaders in the region and attracted 26 media articles.

52 businesses across the region achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.


The Awards Ceremony in 2015 will take place on Friday 6th March 12-2pm

at The Watershed, Bristol.


The Awards will be presented by Bristol heroes, Aardman Animations and Fairtrade pioneers, Divine Chocolate. They will share their business collaboration on the Shaun the Sheep Fairtrade Easter Egg, ahead of the Shaun in the City experience in Bristol in Summer 2015. Expect Fairtrade chocolate, sheep ears and more!
