The Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) has introduced a new online resource, called Early Intervention Into Action, which provides case studies of successful early intervention work, and guidance to help others learn from the examples. 


Priorities into practice: services for children and young people in Bristol

At the last Children and Young People’s Network meeting, we discussed and agreed a set of top priorities and actions for services for children, young people and families.   This meeting will focus on how this is working in practice for some of those priorities.

The next closing date for applications to the BBC Children in Need Main Grants programme is the 13th September 2017. Grants of over £10,000 per project are available to not for profit organisations and schools that work with young people who are experiencing disadvantage through: illness, distress, abuse or neglect; any kind of disability; behavioural or psychological difficulties; and / or living in poverty or situations of deprivation. Schools can also apply for funding but the project must be additional to their statutory duties.

The latest publications, from the Children’s Commissioner’s Office, bring together a range of official information sources, to build a picture of the number of children exposed to risks which increase their vulnerability. The report is designed to highlight the types of vulnerability children and young people are exposed to and to start the process of collating data that can expand on this research.

The Emotional Health Directory of Services for Children and Young people, developed by Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group and Bristol City Council, aims to be the single 'go to' place for information about children and young people’s emotional health in Bristol.
