Developing your Creative Practice is a new development fund designed to support independent creative practitioners to ensure excellence is thriving in the arts and culture sector. This fund will create more pathways for individuals, from a range of creative practices and backgrounds. Round 1 is now open and will close on 16 May.

Local Community Projects Fund  -  Offering a helping hand to community organisations.
 
The Local Community Projects Fund makes grants of up to £2,000 to help organisations based in local communities to deliver activities that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to. Organisations are able to apply once per calendar year.

Writing successful funding bids isn’t about being good at spelling, it’s about being good at telling a clear and compelling story. There are lots of simple ways you can help this happen, and get organised to deal with bidwriting stress! This workshop is for anyone who is new to writing funding bids, or who would like an update or refresher for skills they haven’t used in a while.

We’ll concentrate on looking at smaller, less complex bids. The workshop will cover;

The Community Learning Teams in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (Community Learning West) are seeking expressions of interest from organisations to deliver community learning courses to adults aged 19+ who do not have a full level 2 qualification, or unemployed adults on means tested benefits who experience significant barriers to entering formal learning or work.

Who can apply for a grant?
Any charity working in the field of breast cancer can apply for a grant.

If you have not registered and are considering applying for a grant, please send an email at any time of the year and they will add you to their register. To be considered for a grant in 2018, please submit your grant application to the Foundation by Thursday 31 May 2018.   Grants are awarded annually in late July and those organisations on our register will receive an email in March to remind them to submit their application.

Its value is £3.85 million and is jointly funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and Power to Change.

The challenge

Like many other public services, our public parks are under increasing pressure, with limited resources available to adapt to changing circumstances. Innovative approaches are required, but UK parks have little budget or time to invest in trialling new ways of working that could help alleviate this pressure.
