The Originators fund is designed to offer £500 - £5000 of funding to individuals, un-constituted groups or organisations who plan to deliver arts, culture and creativity led projects that take place in Bristol within one year.

Bristol Energy Cooperative launched round one of our Megawatt Community Energy Fund on 1st August 2017 with £50,000. This grant programme is available for community action on reducing the amount of carbon in our atmosphere, and/or making energy more affordable e.g. through focused fuel poverty initiatives. ​Applicants should live or work in our operational area: Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Sedgemoor District (Somerset).

The CSJ Awards is an annual high-profile, high-impact event in the Westminster calendar at which the CSJ showcases and rewards grassroots charities and voluntary organisations from local communities throughout the UK that have developed effective and innovative ways of addressing a variety of entrenched social issues. These organisations often work with some of the hardest to reach people in the country.

The Litter Innovation Fund (LIF), is a £450,000 programme, funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

The Overall aim is to:

Reduce litter by funding innovative approaches to pilot, implement and evaluate small scale local research projects that could be replicated more widely.

Wessex Water Money Matters

Wessex Water believe in helping people to understand financial matters and take effective decisions regarding money. Wessex Water is working with Quartet Community Foundation to administer Wessex Water Money Matters grants for activities that support financial capability and money management projects for people who face financial difficulties in the West of England.

The Nisbet Trust is funded by a property based endowment portfolio and was set up in 2012. Charity Number 1143496.

It supports organisations mainly in the Greater Bristol area which provide:

  • Social welfare prioritising disadvantaged young people and homelessness
  • Education including advancement of skills and employability
  • The Arts

Applicants must be a registered charity, exempt charity, not-for-profit social enterprise or community interest company benefitting communities in the Greater Bristol area.

Bristol City Council has announced that the Local Area Targeted Youth Services tender is now live on Pro Contract. Those who wish to view the tender (and potentially apply), can access the portal here.

The tender will stay open until Monday 9th October 2017 at 12pm.

The Youth Sector Support Targeted Youth Services Tender will go live on 8th September 2017.
