This week the Government is launching the LGBT Health and Social Care Fund, which will provide £1 million of funding to tackle the health inequalities LGBT people face.

They are inviting bids to outline why their project is needed;the evidence base for the inequality they want to tackle;details of their project;what impact they are trying to achieve and how they will measure the impact. The best projects can then receive funding of up to £350,000.

Charities have until 7 December to apply to the government’s new £1 million fund to help charities improve their digital skills.

The Digital Leadership Fund aims to improve the digital capability of civil society leaders so they are able to confidently embed digital in their organisations.

The fund is available to chief executives, trustees, or senior teams in England. Applications can be made for grants between £10,000 and £170,000.

Co-op Foundation invites organisations to bid for two tenders to tackle youth loneliness through youth services, with £85,000-150,000 available. The tenders come as part of the Co-op Foundation's partnership with the government on the Building Connections Fund.

The money will be allocated as follows, and organisations are welcome to apply for both options if they prefer:

The Centre for Ageing Better will award grants of £40,000-60,000 to VCSE organisations with projects to promote age-inclusive volunteering.

Funding comes from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), whose Office for Civil Society teamed up with the Centre for Ageing Better to publish a review of age-friendly and inclusive volunteering.

The National Churches Trust has announced that the Cornerstone Grants Programme is now open for applications. The Cornerstone Grants Programme offers grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 towards the cost of urgent structural repair projects costed at more than £100,000 including VAT.

True Colours Trust UK Small Grants Programme.

Charities and projects with a charitable purpose can apply for funding that supports disabled children and their families. Grants of up to £10,000 are usually available for hydrotherapy pools; multi-sensory rooms; mini buses; young carers projects; sibling projects; and bereavement support.

Community projects that prevent hate crime or support victims can apply for new government funding, as part of the Hate Crime Action Plan. A hate crime is defined as being hostile or prejudiced towards someone for their race (including colour, nationality, ethnicity and national origin), religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity.

Blended loans and grant financing packages of £50,000-150,000 are available to VCSE organisations which help people who are not in work or are struggling to find work - for example, school leavers or those who are underemployed. The main aim of your organisation must be to improve employability, and ideally you will have been operating for at least 21 months.

Bristol City Council has launched a consultation to gather views on the level of council tax that should be charged in the city from April 2019.

The consultation offers five main options, ranging from no increase through to a four percent increase.
