Not for profit organisations and charities that are working with schools, colleges and other formal education settings can apply for grants of between £30,000 and £400,000 to enhance the lives, development and achievements of children and young people through high quality arts-based learning activities. The funding is being made available through the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Arts-based Learning Fund.

Churches across the UK can apply for grants of between £500 and £5,000 towards the cost of urgent maintenance works and small repairs through the National Churches Trust Foundation Grant Programme.  Project costs should be up to £10,000 excl. VAT and awards will never exceed 50% of the costs.

 

Applications are accepted from listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination.

Sport England has launched a new £5 million fund to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee that aims to use sport and physical activity to bring communities together and tackle inequalities.

Grants of between £300 and £10,000 are available to community organisations to support  new projects that inactive people to get active, or less active people to become more active. The funds could be used for things such as facility hire and coaching costs, or even small capital improvements.

Grants of up to £2,500 are available to charitable organisations supporting challenged and vulnerable young people under the age of 16 in the UK.

The 7stars Foundation will provide funding for projects which support young living in areas of deprivation and socioeconomic disadvantage who are challenged by abuse or addiction, who are young carers, or who are homeless. Projects should address a lack of provision, and provide immediate support.

The Arts Council England (ACE) Let’s Create Jubilee Programme will focus on supporting voluntary and community organisations to develop new creative and cultural activities as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

The programme is open to voluntary and community organisations whose charitable aims do not have to be based solely around arts and culture. For instance, this could include youth groups, parent/carer groups and volunteer organisations.

The Hedley Foundation are inviting applications from small-to-mid-size registered charities helping to improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. The Foundation typically makes around 250 awards of up to £5,000 each year for initiatives that benefit the lives of young people, disabled people, elderly people, the terminally ill and otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers. Occasional larger sums are given to charities where high impact can be achieved.

The MSE Charity has announced that the next round of its grants programme will re-open for applications on the 1st February 2022. The MSE Charity gives grants to not-for-profit organisations that deliver activities that make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money. This round will support projects which aim to improve and deliver personal financial life skills to people living with long term challenges such as dementia, autism, learning difficulties, disabilities, caring responsibilities, mental illness, brain injury and strokes.

Charities and not for profit organisations in the UK can apply for funding for equipment that helps mentally, physical and socially disadvantaged children. The funding is made available through the Wooden Spoon Society's Grants programme and has in the past provided funding for sensory rooms and gardens; playgrounds and outdoor spaces; specialist equipment and facilities; and projects that promote health and wellbeing. The funding available is for capital items only and will not support revenue costs such as staffing and other ongoing costs.

Not for profit organisations that promote positive interaction between different groups in order to counter xenophobia, racism and Islamophobia can apply for funding through the Barrow Cadbury Trust’s Migration Programme. The Trust wants to fund grassroots groups working with refugees, asylum seekers, undocumented migrants and other marginalised migrants. The Trust seek to enable grassroots groups to support the most vulnerable migrants as well as empower migrants and ensure they are not excluded from the public debate on migration.
