Their fund is open to projects that will make a difference to the lives of Sanctuary residents in communities impacted by Covid-19. 

Eligible groups include:

•    Other groups running initiatives in response to Covid-19

Alpkit offers small grants (typically £300 - £500) to grass-roots direct action projects that tackle issues such as diversity & inclusion in the outdoors, participation, education, conservation and protection of our natural environment and health & well-being.

In particular they like to support projects that encourage responsible outdoor activity, introduce people to the benefits of getting outdoors, and have longlasting impact.

There's no deadline and applications are reviewed every two months.

Edge works to inspire the education system to give all young people across the UK the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to flourish in their future life and work.

The Edge Innovation Fund (EIF) offers grants of £20,000 - £100,000 (with at least 20% of total costs matched) and there is no closing date.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis from the launch date (14th September) and should:

We’re offering from £1,000 to £10,000 of National Lottery funding to support communities across the UK to take action on climate change.

Projects should reflect what matters to your community and can be small in scale. They could cover an area like:

food

transport

energy

waste and consumption

the natural environment.

You do not need to be an expert in any of these areas to apply. We’re particularly interested to hear from people starting to think about taking action on climate change in their communities.

About the SLF

The SLF supports strategic legal work in the UK which benefits asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. We define this as those:

• Who are living in poverty, and
• Who face significant disadvantage or discrimination in connection with their immigration status.

The SLF funds strategic legal work in any area of law where migrant groups experience disadvantage or discrimination as a result of migration status.

The trustees have decided to continue to give total priority this year to assisting small local charities in danger of having to close down their activities as a result of the disruption caused by the current crisis. We have made available £100,000 for distribution before April 2022. We will consider requests from any charity struggling to survive. Priority however, will be given to those to whom we have given  assistance in the past. Our continued focus is to support small charities within Bristol, North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The UK government has announced that Round 2 of the new £150 million Community Ownership Fund is due to re-open for applications in December 2021. The fund is part of the UK Government’s strategy to build back better from the pandemic and to foster a sense of community and will make grants to help communities across the UK take ownership of local facilities, community assets and amenities such as:
