Could you organise activities to help your community understand the dangers of loan sharks? If so, the Stop Loan Sharks Community Fund can help you. The funding is held by the England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT), taken from convicted loan sharks, and this fund is a chance to educate communities and prevent loan sharks taking hold in the future.

Funding is available from the Community Learning Teams in Bristol and North Somerset (Community Learning West) for learning providers who want to deliver courses locally. These courses must be designed for adults aged 19 years and over who live in Bristol or North Somerset and:

The Triangle Trust has funding available for organisations that primarily work with young carers (aged up to 25 years old), to help increase the impact of their work. This funding is designed to help organisations already serving young carers, rather than new projects set up to support them.

The summer round of unrestricted grants from The Fore will open for applications at 10am from 12 April 2021, giving up to £30,000, which can be spread across three years.

The aim is to support small organisations, which will be transformed by the funding, and therefore able to be more sustainable, grow in size, become more efficient, or take a step forward.

The second Bristol Impact Fund is now open for applications from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations working to reduce inequalities in the city and helping the most disadvantaged residents. 

This funding, from Bristol City Council, is designed ‘to build city resilience by growing the power of communities experiencing the greatest inequality’. It will go to VCSE organisations that support and empower equalities groups, neighbourhoods, communities and people, including those in the most 20% deprived areas of the city.

The Whirlwind Trust has small grants available to organisations that support young, disadvantaged or disabled people (aged up to 25) through maritime and outdoor activities. Funding is designed to help these organisations provide life-changing experiences for young people, helping them build confidence and learn new skills, whatever their financial circumstances or physical abilities.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to small organisations in Bristol that address local issues and support equalities groups. The funding, from Bristol Redistro, is open to non-profit community organisations and unconstituted groups with an annual income of less than £25,000, based in Bristol and helping residents in the city.

The Bristol City Council Originators Fund is now open for applications to support events, arts and cultural activities taking place from June 2021 to May 2022.

Changes have been made since the fund was last open, with improved accessibility, a new application form and guidance, after consultation with a range of local creative groups and individuals. Bristol City Council is particularly keen to hear from groups and individuals who haven't applied before, and it wants to make sure the funding is spread across different areas of the city.

 

This informal networking session is for groups and individuals interested in applying for Bristol City Council's Originators Fund, which supports events, arts and cultural activities taking place from June 2021 - May 2022.
