You might think you don’t need a marketing campaign because it’s too complicated, too expensive or too much of a drain on your time, especially if your charity, group or organisation is small or new. Surely the really big VCSE organisations make all the noise, right?

By now you’ve hopefully got to grips with GDPR and your newly compliant organisation is reaping the benefits of having more focused and reliable customer data. However this is no time to rest on our laurels; GDPR’s sister legislation, the ePrivacy directive is set to introduce a number of similarly wide-ranging requirements. These are expected to further impact the way organisations interact with people and use their personal data.

Sometimes we want to focus attention on an event or idea, to gain support for a particular issue. This course will focus on the skills and techniques you need to communicate a specific message, raise awareness and build momentum, from using a marketing plan to reaching your audience through the right marketing materials.

Tech4Good Bath brings you a digital surgery-style event for charities and technology experts. Charities are welcome to outline their tech challenges (no major tech experience necessary), which can be worked through in breakout sessions. There will be plenty of networking opportunities, too.

Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6pm start; speakers and the venue will be announced in due course.

Whether you have used social media just on a personal level or never before, an introduction to social media can just help to gently ease you into a new way of thinking.  No matter what our perception of the world of Facebook, Twitter etc., as voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations we ignore it at our peril. This course is a good starting point for those working within an organisation that needs to move its marketing into the digital age.
