St Pauls Carnival (CIC)  will be holding a ‘Get Involved’ community workshop on February 23rd at the Malcolm X Centre to share plans for this year’s 50th anniversary Carnival and ask local people to help make the event happen.

This event will outline a host of opportunities for individuals and community groups to get involved in the 50th Anniversary of Carnival. The opportunities on offer are varied and numerous, with something for everyone; including fundraising assistance and team leader roles within numerous voluntary groups – including young peoples and environmental groups.

Our annual stroll around the Avon Valley visiting St Anne's Woods, Eastwood Farm, Avon Valley Woodlands & Dundridge Park as well as Troopers Hill.

Lunch at Beese's or bring a picnic to eat in Eastwood Farm. You will need 25p per person for Beese's ferry. 

The walk is free but we have to limit numbers to ensure everyone can hear the speakers.

Improve your mood & beat the winter blues! Come & join us every Thursday for fun & relaxation - painting, drawing, collaging & art journalling in a friendly, welcoming environment. No experience neccessary, basic materials & refreshments provided. This activity is suitable for people with stress, anxiety, depression.

Learn to make puppets (rod marrionettes), with a friendly group in a relaxed atmosphere. Using wood, paper mache & material scraps,we will make our own beautiful eastern European rod marrionette inspired puppets.

No experience neccessary, this 6 week course is run by a professional puppet maker. Basic materials (& refreshments) provided. £72; concessions available.
