On Sunday 2nd August we will be opening the gates to the beautiful grounds of Goldney Hall in Clifton, for our 33rd Goldney Garden Party.

We have a packed line of up entertainers and in the garden children are sure to enjoy being entertained with the various fun and games.

Enjoy homemade cakes and refreshments in the Orangery, plus the chance to explore the stunning and rarely opened to the public gardens of Goldney Hall – including an 18th Century underground shell grotto – not to be missed!

LinkAge Bedminster, Southville and Ashton are holding their annual Wellbeing Day on Wednesday 8th July. The event is free to attend and open to all those over 55 or those interested in activities for over 55s in the BS3 area.

There will be seeral taster session of different activities throughout the day focussedon things that improve physical and/or mental wellbeing. These sessions include line dancing (10:30am), Chair Yoga (11:15am), Creative Writing (12:00pm), Use it or Lose It (seated exercise class - 12:45pm) and New Age Kurling (1:30pm).

The Get Growing Garden Trail returns for a 5th year – with 30 groups showing off 36 gardens over the weekend of 6 & 7 June. The sites taking part range from pocket growing sites on high streets or in parks, to expansively productive fields. From miniature orchards tucked behind shops, to historic gardens, to working farms. Each community project has its own ways of working and its own ways for people to get involved. The best way to find what would suit you, is to get out and explore.

Bristol will host its second official Armed Forces Day on Sunday 28 June from 10am to 4pm with free activities for all the family. There will be a parade marching from College Green at 10am to Queen Square, where an outdoor drumhead ceremony will take place in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Bristol and the Lord Lieutenant of Bristol.

At the square, there will be various stalls, including a range of military vehicles, providing information and activities about the Armed Forces in the local area.
