Victims of Hate Crime - ‘Voices’ Day
Wednesday 23rd March 2016, 1- 4 pm and 6 – 9 pm At: Bristol Future Inn Hotel (Cabot Circus, Bond St S, Bristol BS1 3EN)
You are invited to join us to a collaborative event which seeks to bring together service providers and agencies that have a duty to tackle hate crime with those who have faced it. The aim is to assess how we can improve Bristol’s response to hate crime and ultimately tackle it.

Voscur, in association with a number of neighbourhood and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector groups, will be holding a hustings for the forthcoming election of the Mayor for the city of Bristol. This will take place on Tuesday 26 April, from 6pm until 8.30pm. The hustings will be held at the Station, home of Creative Youth Network, in Broadmead, Bristol.

The Runnymede Trust supported by Black South West Network and the Race Equality Manifesto Steering Group invites you to a round table discussion looking at ethnic inequalities in Bristol.

In 2011 Bristol was ranked as the 7^th most unequal district among the 384 districts in England and Wales on the Index of Multiple Inequality for the minority population as a whole. It ranked 56 in 2001. This highlights the large disparity that exists in outcomes in education, health, housing and employment between Minority populations and the White British group.

This forum, for those coordinating volunteers within Voscur member organisations, is used to promote and share best practice amongst those managing or coordinating volunteers.  Quarterly volunteer organisers meet to discuss a variety of issues of interest such as volunteer recruitment, employability, DBS checks, volunteer retention, welfare reform impacts, volunteers and the law, and many others.  Featuring speakers (tbc), mini workshops, and an opportunity to network...

Additionally you can find out what agencies are doing to improve employment and training opportunities for BME communities through positive action.

Join us for discussion, presentations, to share your ideas to help influence what’s happening, and to network, food will be provided following the event so it is essential to book.
