Voscur’s Voice and Influence service is about ensuring that the voluntary and community sector (VCS) has a strong voice and is able to influence decisions affecting it.
Having a voice can mean many different things, but in the context of the VCS Assembly, we mean that the main issues and concerns affecting voluntary and community groups are heard by those with the power and authority to respond to these. The VCS in Bristol is very diverse so it is important that the 'voice' of the sector through the Assembly reflects the views of all, not just those with the loudest voices.
This free event is part of a wider series of workshops that we are running up and down the country during July to give demonstrations of some of the interactive tools and interactive workshops aimed at inspiring community energy projects.
The PlanLoCaL (Planning for Low Carbon Living) toolkit is aimed at community groups and organisations working at community level and all the resources are available to download for free from the website. They include template presentations, tools, guidance notes, videos and games.
