A one day course designed to give front-line workers the tools and information they need to assist clients with generalist level advice and support on welfare benefits. Including: means-tested, contribution based, and criteria-specific benefits (e.g. Attendance Allowance); update on state pension including upcoming changes; analysing a Personal Independence Payment application; and Welfare Reform upcoming changes, implementation and implications.

Are you 16-25 and want to get involved in a great project? We’re looking for young people from all different backgrounds and cultures to share their stories and experiences of Christmas. The stories shared will help create a new Christmas performance about real life and feelings called ‘The Christmas Turkey’.

You don’t need experience in theatre or performing, but you’ll have to want to get involved and share your stories openly.

The Volunteer Organisers' Forum is used to promote and share best practice for those managing or coordinating volunteers.  We meet quarterly to discuss a variety of issues relevant to volunteering such as volunteer recruitment, employability, DBS checks, volunteer retention, thank you events, welfare reform impacts, volunteers and the law amongst others.  Featuring speakers and mini workshops, this forum is also a great opportunity to network.
