A message from the young people on the Bristol Shadow Safeguarding Children Board:
"Dear teachers, support workers, engagement workers and youth workers
Please find attached letter regarding the ‘Our Opinion 2017’ City Wide BSCB Shadow Board survey.
We are asking that you support us in engaging all young people aged between 11-18 by asking them to provide us with their views on what safeguarding issues impact on them!
We are launching the survey on Tuesday 7 February 2017 which is Safer Internet Day.
Please can you ensure that you email the letter to young people on this date. To encourage participation there is a chance to win £50 of Love2Shop vouchers. They will have until the 28th February to complete and participate.
We are notifying you now to ensure that you have time to plan and protect time in tutor groups/PSHE lessons/Youth work sessions. The survey will be open for a month
Attached to this email you will find:
- A letter to Heads/Designated Safeguarding Leads/Governors/ Youth work Practitioners.
- A drafted letter to young people/ pupils that you could send out electronically. If you can copy this into the body of the email rather than send this as an attachment (to be sent out on the 07/02/2017)
