Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work in Government?
Are you eager to share voluntary sector expertise with Government workers?
If you are looking for a unique way to boost your skillset, networks and gain valuable experience (and have your organisation’s permission) you can apply to take part in NCVO’s ‘A Day in the Life’ work-shadowing initiative.
What is it?
The scheme provides a unique opportunity for staff from government and voluntary organisations to step into each other's shoes for a day, and learn about how the other sector operates. You will be paired with a suitable person and each partner will host the other at their organisation for one day only.
What’s in it for me?
As well as improving cross-sector understanding, the programme helps participants find out about the roles and responsibilities of staff within another organisation, and the operational environments and wider contexts in which they work.
How do I apply?
Applications for the 2017/18 scheme will open on 25th September. For more information and to register your interest and be notified when the scheme begins, please fill in the form on the NCVO website.
