What will the Metro Mayor do for the voluntary sector?

Thursday 4 May 2017 sees an historic election for the first Mayor for the new West of England Combined Authority (WECA), covering Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

The WECA will be responsible for making decisions about regional transport, housing, adult education and skills.

Inclusive Growth will be a key area, to ensure equality of opportunity for people in the development of economic growth and wider benefits for communities in the West of England.

The West of England Civil Society Partnership promoting the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sectors role in Inclusive Growth and supporting the Sector to engage with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.

Highlighting the role and value of the VCSE sector in West of England, the Partnership has asked each Mayoral Candidate to provide a brief overview of how they would like to work with the VCSE Sector and what importance they place on the role of the VCSE with regard to Inclusive Growth.
