The recent attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh USA on Saturday, 27th October 2018 killing 11 people was a wicked and terrible Antisemitic onslaught. The Bristol Multi Faith Forum and the faith communities in Bristol stand together with prayers and words of condemnation and strong messages of solidarity to the Jewish communities in Bristol and across the UK.
There is no place for Antisemitism in a civilised society. There is no place for hatreds targeting communities of other faiths and beliefs. All attacks on places of worships is a notice of the need to condemn fanatical viciousness in the strongest terms and to stand together and to continue to work together with ever greater urgency against prejudice, hatred and ignorance.
Bristol Multi-Faith Forum will continue its mission in overcoming prejudice, combating ignorance and spreading the message of community cohesion. All communities must be able to exist in wellbeing and to practise their faith freely and without fear. Let peace and harmony prevails.
