Details of Role:

Alive is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people and training their carers. We believe passionately that all older people should feel connected to the world around them, and our highly successful and innovative engagement work make this possible, alongside the training we deliver to care staff to equip them to engage more meaningfully.

This job is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Alive’s growing community work. This new role has the potential to support hundreds of older people to manage their mental health more effectively, while exploring different wellbeing practices. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious charity in a sector with huge need. You will become part of a highly motivated group of staff keen to make a difference to the lives of older people.

You will:

  • coordinate the ‘Building Mental Health Resilience’ Project and see through from beginning to end.
  • work with community groups to develop training courses that help them understand how to manage and improve their own mental health.
  • work with wellbeing practitioners to test and trial therapies popular with older people.
  • work with our internal videography and design teams to produce training resources.
  • work with our Volunteer Co-Ordinator to train volunteers to deliver this training past project end.

You will be a great communicator, a dynamic trainer, an empathetic creative thinker. We are a great team to work with, with a supportive and creative ethos, but overall we are passionate about improving and changing lives.
