TwoBirds Art is a non-profit organisation, with a joint mission to support artists and the planet. Through sales on our websites, as well as in local exhibitions and markets, we sell artwork both to provide a platform for purpose driven artists from across the world, and to raise money for a selection of wonderful organisations on the front lines of the climate crisis. In doing this, we are striving towards a future in which the natural world is paid the respect it deserves, all living things are treated with fairness and kindness, and art and creativity is allowed to flourish as a voice and vehicle for cultural insights and global perspectives on climate change, ecology, and our unique relationship with the natural world.
To allow us to succeed in this mission, we have recruited a group of over 10 enthusiastic volunteers who are eager to help us grow and develop. In order to make the most out of the time these volunteers have generously offered, we are searching for somebody to fill the co-director role at TwoBirds Art, to assist the current director with the management of this team of volunteers, as well as to complete the various other duties associated with this role. These include responsibilities such as: grant and funding applications, driving marketing campaigns and sales, assisting with our budgeting and accounting reports, identifying other organisations with whom we can collaborate in various ways (and running projects with them), helping us plan for the future and scale as we grow, and lots more.
The specific tasks taken on by whoever eventually takes this position can be adjusted to suit their strengths, as having two co-directors will allow us flexibility in how we share these tasks; so, for all candidates who think they can perform at least some of these duties in an effective way, we will try to schedule a discussion to see how things could work. While no specific experience is necessary for this position, and relevant work or experience you have will factor favourably into our considerations. While we are grateful for anybody who wants to volunteer their time with us, for this particular position, we are also looking for a candidate who can commit to a minimum of 6 months, because any less than this would make the requisite training and introductions less worthwhile for us.
TwoBirds Art is only 10 months old, but the rate at which we have grown has been encouraging, and makes us all excited for what the future may bring. We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual, with a genuine belief in our mission, who thinks they can bring something unique or important to our growing team, and help us achieve what we know our organisation is capable of. We're so excited to hear back from some of you and hear about what you think you can offer to this project!
To apply, please email 'Luca' at email@example.com, with a copy of your CV, alongside a small written attachment that details why you are interested in the position and what you think you can bring to the role. If you need more information about what the position will entail, please feel free to email us and ask us more questions, and if it's needed we can schedule a Zoom session to discuss the specifics of the role.
We really look forward to hearing from you.
