Details of Role:

Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The Trust provides residential, nursing and community support services to around 750 people living in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas.

We are looking for a volunteer to support a 43-year old gentleman with a brain injury to chat and play cards together. He is particularly interested in Uno and craft activities and would like to meet new people. He lives in Pucklechurch.

Can you help?

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly and patient with good social skills. The gentleman is hoping to find someone of a similar age to himself, who he can connect with. Ideally this would be a fortnightly volunteer role, or as often as volunteers are able to commit. Staff will support the volunteer with a thorough induction and will join the volunteer until they feel confident. Staff will always be available for support and will provide regular feedback.

We can cover travel and some activity expenses.

Please note, for all of our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and references will be taken up. Please get in touch if you are interested or would like further information, we would love to hear from you.
