Engagement volunteers provide an important link between Healthwatch and the residents of Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire. Volunteers help gather feedback about health and social care services from local people and report these back. They also help publicise and promote the work of Healthwatch in the local community.

Responsibilities 

• To work alongside staff and other volunteers. 
• To listen to and record what people are saying about their experiences of services e.g. at GPs, hospitals, dentists, opticians and community mental health settings. 
• To provide timely written feedback to Healthwatch about people’s experiences of Health and Social care whether positive, negative, or mixed. 
• To promote Healthwatch at community groups and venues. This may involve giving a small presentation, helping with a display stand, or talking to people individually. 
• To identify appropriate local places and groups for Healthwatch to visit or display/circulate information. 
•  To check Healthwatch information is up to date and available in these places. 
• To adhere to the Volunteer Agreement and Code of Conduct.
