Details of Role: 

To provide a range of support interventions to women in the community who are experiencing or who are at risk of experiencing exploitation. To coordinate an effective multiagency approach to safeguard, manage risk and offer support to reduce social harms such as homelessness, substance misuse, mental and physical illness, extreme poverty, and violence and abuse. To offer both one to one practical and emotional support and group interventions (within the Women’s Centre) with the aim of raising self-esteem, self-efficacy and enhancing social and recovery capital. Although experience in working with this cohort is desirable, it is not essential as we will be looking for someone with the passion to work creatively and flexibly to engage with the harder to reach women in our community.

The role is subject to review and change as the project develops.

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
