A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become a Hepatitis C Assertive Engagement Worker, supporting people to engage and access Hep C treatment in Bristol. This is a new role to BDP and is being partially funded by Hep C U later and UHBW Hepatology Department.
In this role, you will be working alongside our current Lead Blood Borne Virus Nurse with the overall goal of Bristol becoming a site of Hep C micro-elimination.
You will work directly with people identified as needing Hep C support and treatment. With confident and compassionate engagement skills, you will actively support people with appointments and accessing appropriate medication. An interest in harm reduction and health promotion is important for this role, and you will be required to travel across Bristol to reach our service users.
An ideal candidate will be someone who works effectively in a close team but displays initiative and drive to complete work independently. Accurate recording of information and data processing are also key skills for this role. But most of all, we are looking for a candidate with a passion for working with, and making a difference to, the lives of people from all backgrounds.
