We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. You’ll be responsible for social media content, updating our website and creating print materials for our range of creative courses and events aimed at young people.

This would suit someone who has just left college or university, or is currently on their summer break and would like to gain some experience at a non-profit organisation.

Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Location: The Station, Silver Street, Bristol, BS1 2AG (some homeworking can be negotiated)
Salary: £21,723 per annum FTE
Hours: 25 - 40 hours per week (including paid breaks)
Contract: Temporary contract for approx. two months

Creative Youth Network enables young people, no matter what their background or circumstances, to reach their own potential. The majority of the young people we support experience barriers that hold them back in life. Many of our young people are marginalised, unemployed, not in education, suffer poor mental health, are in care (or are care leavers), are asylum seekers, refugees, disabled, from low-income households or are an ethnic minority. We work to help young people remove or overcome the barriers young people face by:

• Building trusting relationships with young people that enable us to address their individual needs
• Advocating for young people to influence policy and get young voices heard
• Providing a wide range of programmes and activities to help young people reach their potential

The Role

The Marketing Assistant supports on production and coordination of Creative Youth Network content and communications to engage target audiences. They help deliver Creative Youth Network’s communications strategy and are responsible for maintaining the charity’s social media presence, engaging core supporters with meaningful newsletter campaigns, while sustaining the charity’s media presence.

Expertise

• The post requires a good level of knowledge of social media
• A reasonable standard of education is required to do the job but a professional qualification is not required
