We are looking for an Income Coach to join our Housing Management team. This is a new role and is one that we are very excited to offer. This will suit someone who has the passion, skills, and experience to contribute to our shared goals.
Our housing management team works together with our support team colleagues in our Homelessness and Complex Needs service.
Taking pride in our reputation of working in a psychological, trauma informed way; we work alongside our clients to improve their tenancy experience while supporting them to make changes in their lives.
Using our systems and process already in place you will have the opportunity to work in a small housing management team, using a system change approach to both income and rent/ service charge payments.

The role is offered on a permanent basis with 37 hours per week.
We are embracing hybrid working. If you are successful you can work from home some of the time if you wish, but you will need to also attend our sites for collaborative working and to forge great relationships with others.
What you'll do
You’ll take the time to develop relationships with our customers, working together to understand how to maximise their income and manage their own financial wellbeing.
With the aim of delivering Income recovery and maximisation outcomes, you’ll assist customers with claiming benefits, submitting grant applications, and understanding their rights.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that swift arrears recovery action is taken in line with our policies and procedures, including representing us in court.
What you'll need
To thrive in this role, you’ll have proven experience in a client service environment and an understanding of current housing legislation and welfare reform.
You’ll be a confident communicator, using a flexible attitude to handle difficult situations and coach customers to finding solutions.
The ability to travel to several appointments daily (including in rural areas with limited/ unreliable public transport) is essential.
