Joining Jacari as a volunteer tutor is a hugely exciting opportunity for you to be involved in real, positive change in Bristol and Oxford through supporting children with English as an additional language. 

By becoming a tutor you will:

We look for volunteers who:

- Are motivated by promoting the educational attainment, confidence and self-esteem of children and young people.

- Have a high standard of written and spoken English – if English is not your first language, you should have an IELTS score of 7.5 or above. 

- Are friendly, have excellent communication skills and are interested in learning about different cultures.

- Are university students or recent graduates. If not, please get in touch and we can discuss whether you have the experience that we need.
