While many older people have embraced digital technology, there are many others who are less confident and at risk of missing out. As a volunteer Digital Champion,  you will be trained and supported to inspire others to get online and spend some time showing them how.

You will have a love for meeting new people, a willingness to help others, enjoy being online and have confidence with basic technology use, for example tablets and smartphones. 

All volunteers will need to attend relevant training sessions, provide references and undertake a DBS check appropriate to the role. Training for the role is delivered by the Age UK South Gloucestershire team, either online or in person. Training courses take place at a variety of locations across South Gloucestershire and occur in the evening as well as during the day.
