Want to support refugees and asylum seekers here in Bristol? 

Aid Box Community need volunteers to help us to run our weekly Men’s Social group.

• Mondays - 2.15am – 4.30pm
• Central Bristol Location

Volunteer role

Within your role you will be part of a team helping to facilitate a safe space for refugee men and men seeking asylum, to come together to learn from each other, laugh, share skills, and make friendships and truly integrate into each other lives.

Duties will include:

• Setting up the space
• Organising refreshments
• Welcoming and registering participants
• Joining in with activities and chatting with attendees
• Maintaining a safe space for attendees
• Tidying up at the end of the session.

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Welcoming, bubbly, organised and calm
• Able to grasp new IT systems quickly
• Confident to hold a safe space
• Able to lead when needed

*We welcome and encourage applications from those from diverse backgrounds and with additional languages.

Our Requirements

• Individuals must be able to commit to volunteering weekly on a specific day for minimum of 1 year.
• Successful applicants will be required to provide 2 references and to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
