We are looking for committed, top notch, bubbly, kind, calm and organised individuals who thrive in busy environments, can grasp new IT systems quickly and can LEAD when needed.

Got a bit of free time and fancy doing something practical to support in need refugees and people seeking asylum in Bristol? Aid Box Community have opportunities to join our busy Free Shop Team, based at 174 Cheltenham Road, BS6 5RE.

Volunteer Sessions we need to fill:

• Mondays           10.30am - 3.30pm        x 1 volunteer
• Thursday          10.30am - 3.30pm        x 1 volunteer

Free Shop Volunteer Role

• Welcoming and signing in ABC service users using ABCs IT systems and following ABCs guidelines
• Supporting service users to find what they need
• Receiving, sorting aid donations and stocking shop as per ABC guidelines
• Ensuring Free Shop tidy and well stocked
• Signposting service users as needed

We welcome and encourage applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds and with additional languages

Commitment required from you:

• To be able to commit to volunteering on a particular day from 10.30am – 3.30pm on a weekly basis for a minimum of 1 year.
• Specifically we are looking for volunteers who can commit to weekly volunteering and are available during school holidays.
• To attending our full induction and training program on Saturday 13th May and Sunday 14th May
• 2 x References - 1 professional, 1 character
• Enhanced DBS Check at a cost of £15 

Support you will receive:

• Full Induction & Training – Saturday 13th May and Sunday 14th May
• Briefings at the beginning and end of each session
