This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to make a real difference volunteering to organise and coordinate community events and activities on an occasional basis within Manor Farm in which all residents can participate and enjoy. This will help us achieve the main priority of the MFCH CIC agenda which is to successfully become the leaseholders of a new Community Centre/hub about to be built in Manor Farm which long-term will promote a  stronger community in the area of Manor Farm within the ward of Horfield, North Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement various activities that cater for and are attractive to all residents
  • Ensure these activities that are culturally and sensitively appropriate and promote social inclusion
  • Encourage and motivate residents to partake in the activities.
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate activates undertaken.
  • Work as part of a team as you will be leading an Activities Group that will work together to organise activities
  • Ensure activities comply with health and safety principles and our Health and Safety policy
  • Adhere to the principles of effective and safe safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

 

Your Strengths:

  • You will be an ideas person and a people person who likes to bring people together, whether for a fun activity or some other activity that will improve and enhance their lives as residents in Manor Farm
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • A wish to commit long-term to assisting a group of similarly very committed people
