Do you love shopping or have experience working in a shop? Do you like organizing and planning events? Are you a real people person and want to volunteer for a good cause? Then you don't want to miss out on this exciting volunteering role! Avon Wildlife Trust is planning to run a pop-up shop and are keen to hear from you. Whether you can help with planning and designing the new venture, think you will shine on the shop floor or you want to experience the full enterprise journey, this could be right up your street – quite literally!
We need a number of volunteers to make up a team of retail assistants, so you’ll have the opportunity to be part of that new team spirit and enthusiasm that will make this a successful enterprise, meeting and working with lots of people along the way. By getting involved you will be able to put your existing knowledge and experience to good use, whilst gaining invaluable experience in charity retail and learn about the work of Avon Wildlife Trust.
Ideally you will be able to commit to 2 days a week for 6 – 12 months, but no matter whether you can commit to shorter period of time or a longer timeframe we would like to hear from you.
This role will be working from our head office at Great George Street initially, with some requirement to work from our Urban Reserve at Grow Wilder, and the potential for a degree of home working until our grand central high street opening which is planned in April 2023. We may also be able to run some smaller stalls at fairs and fetes to test the market and make sure we are on the right track before the launch date.
All volunteers make an invaluable contribution that enables our wider team to take positive action for nature and the environment, and your volunteering support will help make these changes possible. You don’t have to be an ecologist or and expert in climate change to do your bit for wildlife and the environment. Your unique skills and personality are valuable to us and really do make a difference, so please do get in touch if this sound like you!
