Details of Role:

We have a great opportunity for a talented Participation and Engagement Worker to inspire and involve young people in our Kingsley Hall Heritage Project, a unique project made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). Thanks to National Lottery players, we can develop our plans to transform Kingsley Hall - our charity’s base and Grade 2* listed building - into a welcoming space that will provide training, support and housing for young people who have been homeless, at risk of homelessness or are leaving care.

With a passion for co-production and a creative and participatory approach, you’ll proactively engage with young people both within 1625ip and beyond, enabling them to shape and develop inspiring heritage activities and ensure their voices are at the heart of building design. You’ll support them to develop and take advantage of the amazing opportunities available - from traineeships and apprenticeships, to training and leadership through the new Heritage Youth Project Board. With your colleagues, you’ll support the co-production of work between young people, volunteers and partners, lead on creative projects and develop your project management skills.

Through co-design of the new building and piloting a fresh programme of heritage activities, we want to use heritage as a platform to transform young people’s lives.
