Team leadership, challenge, creativity, and change making; we’re looking for someone to take academic representation at Bristol SU to the next level. Could you be our new Academic Representation Manager?

We’re looking for someone who understands how important academic representation is to the work of students’ unions and to students’ lives.

Our Academic Representation Manager, and their team, will enable and empower students to transform their education and shape the policies that impact their lives, from the University to national government. You’ll be excited to lead a team that supports, develops and enables a network of over 900 academic representatives. Our Academic Representation Manager will be responsible for managing a key strategic area of our work, supported by our Head of Representation and Student Leadership.

We’re interested in radical change, so we give our managers the autonomy to make that happen. The person in this role will bring creativity to ensure Bristol SU's approach to academic voice is meeting the needs of our members. You'll be interested in and skilled at enabling students to truly influence and shape their academic experience, and making that a reality no matter course, level or mode of study. You’ll be confident to develop and deliver exciting training to student representatives. The person in this role will also manage some key stakeholder relationships, particularly with academic faculty staff, so you’ll be a credible communicator, building strong relationships and producing high quality reporting.
