Details of Role:

We have an amazing opportunity for a creative Senior Heritage Activities Co-ordinator to inspire and involve young people in our Kingsley Hall Heritage Project, a unique project made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). Thanks to National Lottery players, we can develop our plans to transform Kingsley Hall - our charity’s base and Grade 2* listed building - into a welcoming space that will provide training, support and housing for young people who have been homeless or are leaving care.

Leading on volunteering and young people’s participation, this is a unique opportunity to use your creative and participatory approach to build and lead partnerships involving young people and volunteers from heritage groups, educational and youth organisations. These co-production partnerships are at the heart of this unique project, with young people participating in every aspect. Through co-design of the new building and piloting a fresh programme of heritage activities, we want to use heritage as a platform to transform young people’s lives.

Who we are:
We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. At 1625ip we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives.

We are striving to better represent the young people we support and therefore are particularly keen to increase applications from ethnic minority groups as they are currently under-represented in our organisation. We also encourage applications from people with relevant lived experience.

If you need an adjustment to be made to any part of the recruitment process, please let us know as soon as possible.
