Are you passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable adults?

The service operates across Bristol, running a variety of services including community one to one work, therapeutic groups and drop-ins, and training for other services.

As part of the management team, the Deputy Manager will play a key role in ensuring the ACE team provide a quality service, particularly to neglected groups and individuals, and who face complex barriers to accessing services. Key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Supporting the manager in the day-to-day development and management of the service.
  • Line management of staff; offering motivation and supervision to deliver high quality service with a recovery-focused and person-centred approach.
  • Working proactively and creatively with other partner organisations and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

About you

We are looking for a creative individual with experience of working with partner agencies and relevant stakeholders to deliver high quality outcome-focused services. You will also have:

  • Experience of managing staff and volunteers in a fast paced environment; or the willingness to develop these skills.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload and come up with practical ideas to improve services.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of people.
  • Flexibility is necessary for this post, as you may be required to work from various locations, and work specific days of the week.

Above all, we are looking for someone committed to the overall aims of the service and working with a caring and person centred approach.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) applicants, as they are under-represented within St Mungo’s at this level
