Details of Role:

We are looking for 3 experienced Youth Workers to join our team as some exciting new roles have come up; managing and developing our youth work offer in South Gloucestershire.

You would be managing a small team of sessional staff and volunteers and delivering at least 2 evening youth club sessions alongside them. You should be a motivated and reliable "people-person" who can develop and sustain positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and the community around you. You should understand the positive impact of youth work in local communities and be committed to giving young people positive experiences where they can achieve and thrive, as well as developing their voice and engagement in their community. You should also be organised and methodical in your approach to managing tasks and people. Much of our work is now managed using IT including cloud-based systems so you should be comfortable with using computers and mobile technology, although we also value face-to-face communication to develop lasting relationships.

You would be joining an established youth and community charity with a passion for quality youth work practice. FACE delivers youth work currently in Patchway, Filton, Frampton Cotterell and Kingswood. We also have expertise in leading youth work for young people with additional needs - One of the development worker roles would be focused on this area. Our youth work may extend in the future as our services are always in demand and we welcome the opportunity to champion Youth Work across the area!

If you have a National youth work qualification (JNC) you would be paid £15 per hour, or £13.50 if Level 3 youth work qualified. We may be able to pay towards national qualification for the right person to join our team! Your experience, knowledge, and attitude is as important as a qualification to us however we do value the national qualification framework which oversees professional youth work.
