Southern Brooks is looking for a Counselling Coordinator to join our Health and Wellbeing Project in South Gloucestershire, and this remote role comes with a favourable salary of £26,294 per annum pro-rata and great benefits.

As Counselling Coordinator, you will be a vital member of our Health and Wellbeing Team, and will be the main point of contact for our student and volunteer counsellors.

If you were already in this Counselling Coordinator role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:

  • Triaging new referrals to identify which are suitable for student or volunteer counsellors
  • Matching referrals to suitable student or volunteer counsellors
  • Offering ongoing support to student and volunteer counsellors.
  • Managing ongoing referrals to other providers/services

To apply for this Counselling Coordinator role, you will hold A Diploma in counselling (HE Level 2 or NQF level 5) and have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying counselling experience. You will also require the following experience and skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to generate effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

  • Overseeing student councillors, providing operational support
  • Working with mental health problems.
  • Triaging new referrals to identify which are suitable for counselling service.
