Open Mental Health is a Somerset alliance of local voluntary organisations and the NHS. We are working in an alliance partnership to ensure that residents of Somerset get the support they need - when they need it. Our shared ambition is to ensure that people living with mental health challenges get the right support at the right time. Working together, we support people to live a full life, by supporting families, enabling access to specialist mental health services; offering support with housing, debt and employment advice; volunteering opportunities, community activities and physical exercise, to help support and improve wellbeing and quality of life.

 

The project:

This is a full time Team Leader role working across multiple projects in Somerset. You will be leading a team of Mental Health workers, working in partnership with VCSE and NHS colleagues to develop relationships, services and individual projects under your leadership to ensure high quality support is delivered to families and clients. The post holder currently leads the Sedgemoor Locality Team and Second Step's contribution to the wider Family Safeguarding Team.

 

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate for this post will have:

Experience in a leadership and management role.

A background in mental health and/or complex needs.

Excellent partnership skills.

Knowledge of and a commitment to trauma-informed support

 

Hours: 37 hours per week. Core hours are 9-5pm Monday to Friday.

Location: The office base is Bridgwater however you will be required to travel across Somerset as part of the role. Mileage will be paid for travel between sites

Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year + Bank Holidays.
