"A lot of my friends wonder how I do it, but I honestly enjoy it! Hopefully, I make life a little bit easier for the families I visit; just like my life was made a little bit easier when my father was poorly." Rebecca, Hospice Neighbour Volunteer
Do you want to make a difference to people with a progressive and life limiting illness? Do you love working with committed and caring people? Do you have great organisational skills? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Volunteer Engagement and Administration Coordinator to join us.
With over 1250 active volunteers, volunteering lies at the heart of St Peter’s Hospice.
As a key member of the Volunteer Resources Team, you will act as first point of contact for our Hospice Neighbours project, ensuring appropriate matches between volunteers and patients. You’ll also provide administrative support and ensure excellent volunteer experience across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Volunteering, this broad role covers our clinical, retail and fundraising teams.
What will you be doing?
We’re looking for a highly organised, and capable coordinator and administrator, who is fully competent in MS office. With great interpersonal skills, you’ll be approachable, open and able to communicate with volunteers and staff across the organisation. You’ll have a positive solution focused outlook, with the ability to prioritise a broad workload.
What we can offer you:
We know sometimes the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist, and that people can be put off applying for job if they don't tick every box.
