The Opportunity

Compass Presents are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to form part of our volunteer team for our summer 2023 programme of events. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Bristol’s Summer Film Takeover and other unique experiences across the city.

The Company

Compass Presents create immersive environments, enhanced screenings, and interactive encounters. Mixing film, visual art, digital content, music and performance, we use a multidisciplinary approach to present art from new perspectives. As a volunteer (depending on your role) you will be expected to:

Welcome audiences 

Act as a runner/float to assist the productions

Manage queues and general crowd management

Be a reliable source of information for all attendees

Be available to help with odd jobs

Have a wonderful time with us as we celebrate Bristol’s culture and film 

It is important to us that all volunteers enjoy themselves during Compass Presents events alongside gaining experience and insight into how an organisation such as Compass Presents works. We are happy to provide references afterwards.

We will ensure you are fed while on shift and get some time to enjoy the event you are helping us with. You will also be given free pair of tickets to more Cinema Rediscovered Events to enjoy at your leisure. We can also act as a reference for future job applications and connect you to local creatives at the Pervasive Media Studio. 

Stewarding Shifts

Shifts will be between 4-6 hours long with various start times depending on the need of each event.
