SBY Programme Coordinator: Widening Participation
Details of Role: 
SBY are seeking a full-time, year-round Programme Coordinator to join their team. The role requires the successful candidate to:
  • support Key Stage 4 students to explore the value and benefits of further and higher education
  • ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of SBY programmes and to create effective relationships and communication with the staff in all SBY schools and external agencies
  • fulfil a mentor role by providing group and one to one support to young people on the programmes
  • contribute to other SBY programmes
  • create and manage large scale events to improve parental and community engagement
  • deliver Public Speaking Training to students across secondary schools (training will be provided)
  • evaluate and report on the outcomes of the programmes/activities

The successful candidate will: have an understanding and appreciation of the FE/HE environment as well as other post-16 progression routes; be able to motivate and support and mentor young people and coordinate large-scale projects; have strong organisational and communication skills; be able to work flexibly from home, and to possess a clean driving licence and means of travel; be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. It is important to note that the charity does not operate from an office; when not delivering activities in schools and venues, staff are required to operate from home.
