Join us as a tutor to provide fun and engaging educational support for 1 hour a week to a pupil who speaks English as an Additional Language.

Our tutors either meet with their pupil at school at the end of the school day alongside other volunteers and pupils, or at the pupil's home at a time/day that works for you.

By becoming a tutor with Jacari, you will:

• Build a meaningful relationship with a pupil ​
• Develop valuable communication and teaching skills​
• Help tackle educational inequalities 
• Recieve training in EAL support and teaching

No experience needed!

We look for volunteers who:

• Are motivated by promoting the educational attainment, confidence and self-esteem of children and young people
• Have a confident standard of written and spoken English – if English is not your first language, we ask that you have an IELTS score of 7.5 or above 
• Are friendly and interested in learning about different cultures
