About CCS Adoption:

CCS Adoption is a Voluntary Adoption Agency and registered charity. Continuously Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (for over 13 years), we find permanent, loving homes for children who are waiting to be adopted. We also offer a wide range of post-adoption support services for adoptive families in the region through The Centre for Adoption Support. We are committed to maintaining this high level of performance and developing further the innovative services we provide for children and adoptive families.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Fundraising  Manager specializing in trusts and foundations, you will play a vital role in helping CCS Adoption continue its important work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Research and Strategy: work on current prospect list and identify further potential trusts, foundations, and grant opportunities aligned with CCS Adoption's mission and programs. Develop and implement a strategic approach to securing funding from these sources. Grow and maintain the charities Individual giving donor base and promote donations through legacies.
  • Grant Proposal Writing: Prepare compelling and tailored grant proposals, applications, and appeals. Ensure that proposals are well-researched, persuasive, and effectively communicate the impact of CCS Adoption's work. Secure a number of successful applications over an agreed time period. Based on previous applications/annual targets and discussion with SMT.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring regular communication and updates on the organization's progress.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the CCS Adoption team to gather information, stories, and data that demonstrate the impact of the organization's services. Work closely with colleagues to ensure accurate reporting to funders.
  • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports on fundraising activities and outcomes to the CCS Adoption leadership team and Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in securing grants and funding from trusts and foundations.
  • Excellent grant proposal and report writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with potential funders.
  • Strong research skills to identify and assess potential funding opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain donor relationships at a grant and individual level.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the voluntary adoption sector and children's welfare is desirable.
