The Higher Needs Floating Support Service is a newly commissioned service working with people in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness across a variety of settings. The team work closely with the local authority, health, treatment and specialist support providers to improve outcomes and work towards more settled accommodation for those facing multiple disadvantage
As a Floating Support Worker within the Higher Needs Floating Support Service, you will;
Work to make current accommodation sustainable, work with the local authority to identify new or more appropriate accommodation, and work in a motivational and psychologically informed way.
Work to engage and support clients with complex needs and/ or facing multiple disadvantages to maximise their choice and control over the support they receive by developing a network of support.
Work with landlords, support agencies hospitals, healthcare, family, friends and others to create a comprehensive network of support that remains beyond the end of support provisions.
You will;
Be experienced in supporting people facing multiple disadvantages.
Have some experience in improving housing outcomes for people who have been homeless.
Be great at building trust with those you work with
Have compassion, empathy and passion for supporting others
Be IT literate and be able to record and report information
Have confidence lone working in the community.
Have the ability to travel across Bristol
