Key duties and responsibilities of our Female Support Worker:
The successful candidates will provide high-quality practical and emotional support to women with mental health and housing related support needs. All clients are triaged and offered support to meet their presenting needs. Should a client be in need of additional support, they are referred to the Help When You Need It Service and assigned a support worker. Support is short to medium term and is a target-based intervention, with rapid re-access, should the client require additional support in the future.
What we are looking for in our ideal Female Support Worker:
• Experience of working with women with mental health and practical support needs to provide outcome-based support.
• Excellent communication skills and confident using a range of communication methods to include phone, Skype, email, text and face to face.
• Experience of co-producing short-term outcome focussed action plans and reviews.
• The ability to effectively manage emergency situations.
• Experience of co-producing robust risk assessments.
• Experience of managing a caseload.
• Knowledge of what it means to work in a psychologically informed environment.
• Experience, or interest and confidence in, facilitating and delivering small working groups, and facilitating peer support groups.
• The ability to work with colleagues, external agencies and clients face to face and via virtual platforms.
