Volunteer Administrator(s) (flexible hours to suit)
Are you an experienced administrator who could spare a few hours to help support a local charity?
Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity which supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and people living with dementia. The services are provided through a network of residential and nursing care homes and community services throughout the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas.
We are looking for volunteers who can provide administrative support that will help our home managers to keep the office organised and up to date with administrative duties. The role will include a range of general administrative/clerical tasks such as;
• typing amendments to care plans and activity records
• organising documents on the computer
• using outlook for email retrieval and archiving
• using excel to record information
• arranging health care appointments
• answering the telephone and taking accurate messages
• organising admin systems
If you are interested in spending some volunteer time in a friendly health and social care environment where you will meet service users within their home and have sound administrative experience coupled with a calm manner and the ability to communicate comfortably with a diverse range of people, we would love to hear from you.
You will receive induction training and the home manager will introduce you to current systems, with staff on hand to support you in the role. We can reimburse out of pocket/travel expenses by arrangement. The hours and location of the roles are flexible, but we envisage one morning or afternoon per week as a minimum. There is scope to volunteer for more hours if you can offer more. The service users we support are vulnerable adults, so a DBS check will be required along with two personal references.
Please complete the attached application form and return it via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org or in the post to: Unit 10 Eclipse Office Park, High Street, Staple Hill, Bristol BS16 5EL.
