At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. We are currently seeking two Outreach Workers to join our Outreach team who work across Bristol; delivering shifts on the streets, drop-ins at local day centres, and are working with accommodation providers and the local authority to reduce rough sleeping to as close to zero as possible.
As an Outreach Worker you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the service; ensuring that contact is made and sustained with rough sleepers in Bristol. You will also carry out appropriate assessments and referrals and ensure that all clients are engaged with services in order to receive support towards moving from the streets and into accommodation or reconnection services.
To succeed, you will have experience of engaging and working with vulnerable people and an understanding of the needs of street homeless people. You will also have an ability to work alone and as part of a team and to initiate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, the community, the police and other external agencies.
Flexibility is required as you will be working outreach shifts at unsocial hours. You will also have a full driving licence.
Closing date: 10.00am, 12th January 2018.
Interviews and assessments on: 25th & 26th January 2018.
