Line supervision: Centre Manager
Overall aim of the post:
Running of the Filwood Community Centre office in evenings and weekends – ensuring
all visitors to the building are met and greeted.
Open up, supervise premises and ensure building is locked, secured and alarmed after use
Ensure groups leave promptly
Deal with problems as they arise during the given times
Provide friendly customer service to users on site
To supervise the safety on the site during the given times
Ensure rooms are left clean and tidy after groups finish
Supervise and delegate tasks to volunteers during the given hours
All customer enquiries by phone or in person are handled professionally and courteously
Raise any health & safety / customer services issues in a timely fashion.
Install and maintain IT equipment as required
Update IT hardware and maintain IT software and networks, where needed, across the Centre
Working as part of a team to ensure the success of Filwood Community Centre, including good, timely communication and cooperation with the tenants and room users.
Working as part of the team to support CIPKW and community events
Any other duties which can be legally and reasonably requested by the board of CiPKW.
Qualifications, experience and personal qualities:
Excellent communication skills – with good written English
Good organisation and problem solving skills
Ability to plan own workload
Experience in an administrative role or other relevant IT role (this can include voluntary experience)
Confident in installing and using software eg: Microsoft Office and good knowledge of IT hardware as required
Willing to undertake training as required
